Dudley and Halesowen's popular farmers markets have been given the go-ahead by council chiefs to be extended by more than 30 new stalls.

Following in the footsteps of Stourbridge the new look markets will now start selling crafts as well as organic food produce.

Dudley town centre manager Andrea Jones said: "We are delighted both Dudley and Halesowen will be extending the markets in the New Year.

"This has already been a big success in Stourbridge and we are sure it will be a big hit in Dudley and Halesowen too and attract more shoppers to both towns."

The Dudley market meets in Market Place on the fourth Friday of every month and the Halesowen market is held in the High Street on the second and fourth Saturday of every month.
