Ann Summers boss Jacqueline Gold made her debut on a panel of judges in ITV's Fortune: Million pound giveaway last week.

The chief executive of Whyteleafe-based lingerie firm Ann Summers, joined four other entrepreneurs on the show, hosted by Richard Madeley.

Together the judges plan to give away £1million of their own money.

The show's motto is If you don't ask, you don't get' and people are invited to ask for a share of the million pounds to help make their dream come true.

On last Tuesday night's show, the panel voted to give £3,000 to a 63-year-old woman who wanted to travel to the US and more than £4,000 to two 16-year-old boys who wanted to travel the entire British rail network. A young boy suffering from cancer who wanted to set up a respite centre for families was handed more than £50,000.

Ms Gold is joined on the panel by author and former politician Jeffrey Archer, Scottish entrepreneur Duncan Bannatyne - owner of Bannatynes Health and Fitness clubs, Crystal Palace chairman and owner Simon Jordan and the MOBO award founder, Kanya King.
