If there was one female voice that encapsulated the 80s, it has to be Bonnie Tyler.
You only need to listen to Holding Out For A Hero or Total Eclipse Of The Heart to be thrown back to the epic production numbers of Jim Steinman, most famous perhaps for his work with Meatloaf.
Now in celebration of her career spanning 30 years, From The Heart, the Greatest Hits has just been released.
Tyler has always had one of the most recognisable voices in pop with a strong presence within the power ballad fraternity. On Westlife's most recent album, The Love Album, the boys covered Total Eclipse Of The Heart ; the track has also been enjoying significant hits on YouTube with a dance remix by Babypinkstar. Rod Stewart also covered It's A Heartache on his chart-topping album, Still The Same, and also performed the song on ITV1's The X-Factor in November 2006.
All testament to Tyler's endurance as one of the greatest female vocalists of a generation.
