HEREFORD United's continued search for success on their travels in Coca-Cola League Two takes them to Milton Keynes Dons on Saturday.

The Bulls have only recorded one point away from Edgar Street - a 1-1 draw at Rochdale on September 2 - since winning at Stockport on the opening day of the season.

United have produced fleeting glimpses of form in losing narrowly at Grimsby, Bristol Rovers and Wrexham.

But, according to first team coach John Trewick, it is time for that form to start yielding some vital league points.

He said: "We haven't been playing badly but unfortunately we haven't been getting results.

"We have had a meeting this week about that and we hope we can go to MK Dons and get a result. We need to start turning reasonable performances into better results. Results could be better.

"It's not a good enough points tally from the games we have played and it puts pressure on you to win your home games."

Trewick, though, believes the team has what it takes to trouble Martin Allen's side.

"If we perform the way we are capable of performing we can get a result," he said. "You can't predict too much in football as it tends to come back to haunt you. What we can do is give our very, very best and search for a result."

Hereford are likely to welcome back John Eustace after the midfielder sat out Tuesday's 2-1 Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat at home to Shrewsbury Town.

Eustace, on loan from Stoke City, played a key role in United's 1-1 draw with Darlington at Edgar Street last Saturday, supplying the free-kick for skipper Tamika Mkandawire's second-half equaliser.

"John did very well," Trewick said. "He did two or three really outstanding passes to create goalscoring opportunities as well as having a good impact on the game itself, particularly in the second-half.

"He's coming back from a long-term injury but we are hoping that extra game will have done him good."

Trewick and manager Graham Turner are waiting on the fitness of defender Martyn Giles, who suffered concussion in the Darlington draw.

However, fellow defender Simon Travis is expected to be ready for the trip to the National Hockey Stadium after missing some training with a hamstring niggle.

MK Dons, fifth in the table, go into the match on the back of a 2-1 victory at Wrexham through goals from Izale McLeod and Sean O'Hanlon.

Striker McLeod was this week the subject of a £1million bid from Peterborough United but MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman rejected the offer.
