IT was the late, late show for Selby Town when they snatched a dramatic 2-1 win over Liversedge in the Northern Counties East premier division at Flaxley Road.

Despite a promising start from the Robins it was the visitors who took the lead after 20 minutes when Craig Smith powered in a 20-yard free-kick. Selby then controlled the rest of the game but were unable to convert the many chances they created.

Liversedge were reduced to ten men in the 70th minute when Oleksewycz was sent off but they looked to be hanging on to all three points until the last few minutes.

Selby's pressure eventually told in the 89th minute when Lee Dawson equalised and deep into stoppage time Steve Lyon fired in the late winner.

Selby are in action on Wednesday night at Flaxley Road when they play Carlton Town in the quarter final of the Presidents Cup (kick off 7.45pm).

Pickering Town crashed 3-0 at bottom club Shirebrook whose goals came from Simon Johnson (2) and Duncan Bray.
