PLANS for a youth club in Seer Green advanced further as parish councillors agreed on a summer schedule.
Andrea Murphy, Area Youth Worker at Buckinghamshire County Council, presented a schedule of dates to councillors and outlined plans for getting the project off the ground at a parish council meeting last Wednesday.
Ms Murphy said: "We want to provide young people with a place to meet on a weekly basis."
Dennis Scourfield, chairman of Seer Green Parish Council, said: "We are very pleased that it is going ahead and we hope it will be a benefit to the youth of Seer Green. We hope they will support the project."
Speaking to the Free Press last month, Anil Mitra, vice-chairman of the parish council, said that youngsters in the village had become disgruntled.
He added: "We have found them congregating at street corners and police reports have said that young people are doing vandalism in the village."
There will be an information evening in the Jubilee Hall on Wednesday, May 16 at 7pm, with the club scheduled for launch on Wednesday, June 6.
