LAWRIE Sanchez has called for thousands of fans to march with his Wycombe Wanderers heroes as they hunt a place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup tonight.

The Wanderers boss, who masterminded Saturdays incredible fightback from two goals down to draw 2-2 against his old club Wimbledon, believes fan power can help propel his team towards a quarter-final clash at Leicester City on March 10.

Sanchez, who scored Wimbledons Wembley winner in the final 13 years ago, now wants Bucks football fans to help Wycombe deliver the knockout blow to his old club tonight.

More than 1,000 answered his rallying call within the first two hours of replay tickets going on sale and with 9,000 places at Selhurst Park set aside for visiting fans, thousands more are expected to turn up and pay on the night.

First Division Wimbledon attracted fewer than 6,000 fans for their fourth round replay at home to Premiership Middlesbrough and Sanchez says Wycombe fans could now turn the tie into another 'home game'.

He said: "It's the only ground in the country where if we took 4,000 fans we could outnumber the home supporters. That would be a terrific boost to the players to see our fans there outsinging Wimbledon. It's the furthest we've been in the FA Cup so let's enjoy it and make that special effort to get to Selhurst Park to support the team."

Wanderers have been allocated the whole of The Arthur Waite stand. Tickets are available from Wanderers this morning or at Selhurst Park tonight priced at £15 or £10 concessions.

Fans buying them at Selhurt are advised that they have to queue up to buy them first and then queue again at the turnstiles and should therefore leave a little bit longer than usual to get into the ground. The match kicks off a 7.45pm.

Wycombe will wear their traditional Blue strip tonight while Wimbledon will don their lucky white kit again and Sanchez wants the Wycombe fans to turn the away stand into a sea of Blue.

Sanchez said: It's a great opportunity for the players and fans. We aren't going to get a better opportunity to get into the last eight of the FA Cup.

"It's half term, so get the kids over there as well.Stand up and be counted, wear something blue and sing yourself hoarse for the team."
