GREATWORTH-based VX Racing are starting the 2007 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season with high hopes, after introducing their brand-new Vauxhall Vectra.
2006 saw Vauxhall score its landmark 100th victory at Knockhill and the Luton-based manufacturer is looking to start where it left off.
Italian multiple touring car champion, Fabrizio Giovanardi, collated important information throughout the 2006 season, which should see him make a stong start to 2007.
Young-gun Tom Chilton, who has already racked up an impressive tally in his limited BTCC career, is going into this weekend's race with a positive attitude, hoping to please his home fans at Brands Hatch, which is only a stone's throw from his family home in Reigate, Surrey. The 22-year-old claims to know every nook and cranny of the exciting circuit.
Chilton said: "I can't wait to get back behind the wheel. As enjoyable and important as testing is, nothing beats racing."
Fabrizio Giovanardi said: "I am confident in the car and I am sure we will do well in qualifying on Saturday. I look forward to finding out how competitive we are compared to the rest of the field."
