A "foolish" dalliance with cocaine landed Andrew Pretty from Chessington a £200 fine at Kingston Magistrates' Court last week.
Pretty was found with two wraps of cocaine when police searched his car in December last year.
They also found a butterfly knife in his possession, for which Pretty was fined a further £200. Pretty pleaded guilty to both counts. His defence counsel said: "It was near Christmas and his cocaine use was foolish. It was the first and the last time he took it."
She added that the knife was something Pretty needed for his work as a block paving specialist, as it was his work vehicle he was travelling. Pretty was also fined £70 costs.
