Chingford 0
Woodford 15
(Essex U15 Cup Final)

The clocks sprung forward and so did Woodford as they made history by becoming the clubs first ever youth side to win an Essex Cup final.

In a tense local derby with old rivals Chingford, the Highams men took the game to the opposition. The early pressure paid off as the Waltham Way men encroached at the breakdown, and a planned penalty move saw Woodford cross for an early score after ten minutes.

The remainder of the half was played withthe Highams men defending gallantly as Chingford came into the game, which saw them take a 5-0 lead into the break.

After the interval a period of sustained forward pressure saw Woodford add a second try that was also converted to make it 12-0.

Chingford tried to change the course of history but the die was cast and with ten minutes to go further pressure from Woodford allowed them to score a penalty before the end to wrap up a fine win.
