A COLLECTION of popular porcelain has been snapped up for thousands of pound at auction.
The Robert Senft private collection of Shelley Harmony Ware shone out at Stacey's Auction House, in Leigh.
Stacey's sold the majority of the collection for a total of £6,000, with just 9 per cent of it going unsold.
Top lots included a rare pair of Nostradamus candle sticks with Art Nouveau influences, made £210 against the estimate of £80 to £120. Five 14ins-wide charger plates were sold for £110 each and a collection of five graduated Harmony Ware banded vases went for £238.
Tracey Martin, collectables expert at Stacey's, said: "Although we didn't quite meet the £8,000 estimate, we did manage to sell 91 per cent of the entire collection, which is a massive percentage for any auction house."
