A RECORD number attended Rossendale's landlords forum.
More than 70 landlords came to the networking event organised for the borough's private landlords by Rossendale Council.
Attendees heard presentations by Green Vale Homes on bond guarantee schemes, and briefings on the new tenancy deposit scheme, which comes into force next month, and the local housing allowance, to be introduced next April.
Both of the legislative changes will significantly affect landlords' working practices.
Deputy council leader and cabinet member for regeneration Bill Challinor said: "The council is committed to working in partnership with local landlords to raise the quality of housing on offer within Rossendale. This is a key part of our housing strategy."
