A FULL complement of members, plus a visitor, welcomed back the president, Margaret Wainwright, to the March meeting.
Members discussed the educational visit being planned for the summer, and a choice will be made next month between Avoncroft Museum and a guided tour of Worcester Cathedral.
Two members will attend the spring council meeting at Malvern.
Janis Waldron then gave an interesting and practical talk and demonstration on making bead jewellery. It appears that we all have beads needing attention, either restringing, new fasteners, or just cleaning, and after this fascinating talk we all have a good idea how to set about putting things right. It was also surprising to learn how many different colours were available in some jewellery items, such as amber and pearls.
Janis then appraised the competion, My Favourite Necklace, which was won by Dorothy Jaques.
The meeting ended with tea and biscuits. Our next meeting will be on April 4, when Mr Mills will speak on the history of Kays.
