TRAFFORD company boss Steve Donovan ensured his firm provided a phone system to take calls from Comic Relief donors.
Lifelong Sale resident Steve - the managing director of telecom engineering company Armstrong Communications - decided it should supply a phone system to handle calls for donations.
A customer of Armstrong Communications, Asif Hammad from the Contact Specialists, stepped forward to enable thousands of donations to be handled.
On the night there were plenty of volunteers from Armstrong who took calls, including Steve himself who flew back from an exhibition in Hanover, Germany.
Armstrong employee James Walsh, from Altrincham, handled the last caller, which came through at 2am. Sally Stothard, a director from Sale, took the highest call of the night worth £5,000.
MD Steve said: "It's amazing to see how everyone came together to make this night possible."
The calls that were taken raised more than £107,000.
