POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of an 18-year-old girl from Crediton.
An ambulance was called to an address in Crediton at 7.30pm on Saturday evening following a report that a female had lost consciousness.
On arrival at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital the young woman was confirmed dead.
Police are conducting enquiries into the circumstances on behalf of HM Coroner and at this stage the death is being treated as unexplained.
A full forensic post mortem will be undertaken.
The girl's name will not be announced until a formal identification has been completed.
