Horspath Hammers unveiled their new look team, which included three 18-year-old English riders, as they came from behind to win their British Premier League opener against Coventry 90-89.

Hammers took the early advantage in heat one, but after the next five heats were drawn, Coventry hit back to level.

However, Steve Harris and Mateusz Szymczak opened up another two-point lead with a 6-4.

Heat nine proved disastrous for Hammers as the visitors took it 7-3 to take the lead for the first time.

Hammers reduced the deficit in heat ten to a single point with a 5-4, then regained the lead in the 12th heat with a 6-4 from Lewis Osborne and Marcin Skowronek.

The penultimate heat of the meeting saw a Coventry 6-4.

But the final heat of the day saw Hammers secure the narrowest of wins when Mark Boaler eased to victory, with Harris cleverly collecting the vital third place to keep Horspath's unbeaten home record intact.
