ROLLITS, the York-based solicitors' practice, has helped Wellness Foods to acquire Stream Foods, a Cambridgeshire business, for an undisclosed sum.
Investment company Wellness Foods, launched in Berkshire in 2005, includes among its backers Swiss-based private equity firm Lydian Capital. Last year it bought Oxfordshire-based The Rowse Honey Company for its healthy food portfolio.
Stream Foods' Fruit Bowl brand is the market leader in healthy snacks for children and its range includes Fruit Flakes and fruit-based School Bars.
Julian Wild, Rollits' food group director, formerly a board member of Northern Foods, said: "Stream Foods has enjoyed significant growth and last year was included in The Sunday Times' list of fastest growing companies."
