A GWENT model could soon be the new face of top lads' mag Maxim.

Dionne Glen, 23, from Cwmbran, is among thousands of hopefuls who have entered the magazine's Little Black Book competition to win a modelling contract.

But unlike most others, her entry has been posted on their website and for every reader who downloads her image, she gets a vote. The model with the most votes wins.

Dionne hopes that a contract with Maxim will launch her career.

"I've been into modelling since university", said the 23-year-old.

"It all started when I featured in a British Uni Babes calendar while studying at the University of Glamorgan.

"Since then I've done quite a bit of modelling. I did a spread for Nuts magazine last week and it was fantastic."

Ms Glen hopes to hit the big time in her career and follow in the footsteps of millionaire models.

"I really like Carmen Electra, I think she's amazing. She's done so much in her career and become really successful," added the former business management student who appeared in an independent film, The Girl, The Gun and The Desert, which was presented at the Swansea Bay Film Festival last year.
