A 26-year-old Halesowen man was sent to prison for 12-weeks after stealing goods including bacon and cheese.

Nicholas Stephen Southall, of Margaret Avenue, was convicted of stealing 15 packets of Danish bacon worth £44.85 and stealing Lynx and Gillette toiletries, cheese, and five boxes of chocolates worth £54.40, and attempting to steal boxes of chocolates worth £35.00.

He was sent to prison for 12 weeks at Halesowen Magistrates' Court on February 14.

Also in Halesowen Magistrates' Court on February 14: Paul Harris, aged 48, of Alma Street, Halesowen, was convicted of using or threatening unlawful violence towards another. He was fined £320 and ordered to pay £170 compensation and £100 costs.

In Halesowen Magistrates' Court on February 13: Kevin Raymond Harper, aged 45, of Masons Close, Halesowen, was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was given a 12-month community order and ordered to carry out 100 hours unpaid work with £60 costs.

In Halesowen Magistrates' Court on February 15: Craig Addenbrooke, aged 21, of Colley Lane, was convicted of damaging a glass door panel worth £30. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £30 compensation and £70 costs.

In Halesowen Magistrates' Court on February 16: David John Salisbury, aged 21, of Polden Close, Halesowen, was convicted of assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He was given a 24-month community order and ordered to undertake 300 hours unpaid work. He was ordered to pay £660 compensation and £150 costs.

Steve Johnson, aged 26, of Luanne Close, Cradley Heath, was convicted of drink driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified. He was banned from driving for 36-months, given a two-year community order and ordered to carry out 280 hours unpaid work with £70 costs.
