FUN and games will be on the cards at a York furniture shop when it holds a family party night in aid of our Guardian Angels appeal.

Habitat York is putting on the fundraising bash on Wednesday night to launch a new range of VIP goods for children - which include products by designers Paco Rabanne and Christian Lacroix, as well as model Sophie Dahl.

The shop will be laying out the red carpet for shoppers who come along to the evening, where there will be a lucky dip and raffle of products donated by the store and local businesses to raise money for our appeal.

Those who come along can also enjoy a glass of bubbly, free canapés and live music from a jazz band.

Children can come into the store beforehand to pick up entries for a colouring competition to be judged on the night, and there will also be sparkly makeovers for youngsters.

Store manager, Darren Phillips said: This is a great opportunity for families to enjoy a spot of retail therapy as well as a chance to spark the ideas of budding young designers, while supporting the Guardian Angels appeal."

The Hollywood-themed evening is taking place on Wednesday from 6pm to 9pm. All are welcome. Dressing in black tie is optional.
