Fuel from the beached container ship MSC Napoli remains aboard the coastal tanker Forth Fisher at Falmouth Docks until a decision is made as what to do with the 3,500 tonnes of fuel oil.
Forth Fisher went alongside the MSC Napoli in Lyme Bay to load the bunker fuel oil in an around the clock operation lasting ten days.
The tanker, which berthed on County wharf yesterday, has been in the Falmouth area since last Thursday as salvors and insurers decide exactly where the cargo will be finally discharged.
The salvors, Smit International, are working to pump off several hundred tonnes of oil from settling and service tanks in the container ship's engine room.
