Let's show how far we've come.

Jamie Cureton feels tonight's big home clash with West Bromwich Albion is the perfect chance to demonstrate just how much Colchester United have progressed this season.

The U's were played off the park by the Baggies during the opening 45 minutes of their match at the Hawthorns back in August.

Although they improved considerably in the second period, they still succumbed to a 2-1 defeat.

However, Cureton feels Colchester have made notable advances since that afternoon.

And he is sure he and his team-mates can show that by securing three points at Layer Road tonight.

He told the Evening Gazette: "We got a bit of a lesson at West Brom early in the season when we were passed off the park.

"West Brom are a good side and we know what to expect but we've improved a lot since then and I'm sure they have."
