A famous brass band has appointed a new creative force. Leigh Baker has been announced as Brighouse and Rastrick Band's new composer and arranger in residence.
Mr Baker has been a playing member of the band since 1990, in which time he has held the solo baritone position, played second euphonium and solo euphonium.
In 2006 he was awarded the best new arrangement prize at the Brass In Concert championships for his arrangement of the Jungle Book classic, the Bare Necessities.
