A COURT date has been set for Taunton Deane Council's bid to move gypsies from land in North Curry.
Several gypsy families set up home on land at Oxen Lane illegally in the village back in October 2004.
Since then the council and villagers have fought to remove them from the site, and are now appealing to the High Court.
A spokesman for the council said: "The court proceedings have been listed for April 23, at the High Court in London.
"On that date the court will consider an application for an interim injunction to maintain the status quo, ie no further movements at all on the site, together with directions as to the full hearing."
