STAFF and residents at St Oswald's Nursing Home raised £441 for Comic Relief with a Wizard of Oz fancy dress day.
Carers visited nearby pubs in Winwick collecting money in red buckets and held a mini-fair for residents with stalls, a lucky dip and games such as guess the number of sweets in a jar'.
Alison Wakefield, activity co-ordinator, said: "We all dressed up as Wizard of Oz characters. Everybody joined in and it was good fun."
