BROADCASTER Victoria Derbyshire is in the running for a major award for her morning phone-in show on BBC Radio Five Live.
The radio presenter, who was born in Bury but grew up in Turton, is in the final for the 2007 Sony Radio Academy Awards in the category for Best Interactive Programme.
She is up against Birmingham Station BRMB's Big Brum Breakfast Show, BBC Radio 4's PM, The Scott Mills show on Radio 1, and the Pete Price Show on Radio City 96.7.
The winners of the Gold, Silver and Bronze awards, which are judged by 100 top industry professionals, will be revealed at the annual gala ceremony on Monday, April 30.
Victoria was a presenter on BBC GMR, now BBC Radio Manchester, before moving to London to present Five Live Breakfast. She is currently taking a short break after giving birth to her second child.
