PEOPLE are being invited to help to make a difference to the lives of others.
Plans are under way for a Congleton Borough-wide event for Make A Difference Day 2006 on Saturday, October 28.
Congleton CVS and Volunteer Centre staff are organising events including a major bulb planting day in Congleton and a community tidy-up in Alsager.
"If you're organising an event for Make A Difference Day let us know, and we can include you in our publicity," said Louise Daniels, from Congleton CVS.
"Make A Difference Day is a great opportunity to raise the profile of local volunteering and to recruit new volunteers."
For more details ring Louise on 01270 763100.
Last year's Make A Difference Day attracted 114,000 people who took part in 4,000 activities nationwide.
Of those who took part 80 per cent continue to give their time to benefit their communities.
