Mabel Mary Cookson married Alexander Crombie (an engineer from Scotland) in Elmstead/Tenbridge 1899. His parents were Osmond & MaryAnn & siblings were Percy, Beatrice & Herbert. In 1881 lived in The Parsonage, Top Moorside Holbeck Yorkshire as the Perpetual Curate of Holbeck. It seems they moved about a fair amount and then some of the siblings made their way to Rhodesia/South Afica. Mary divorced Alexander (1906) in South Africa after the birth of their son Eric Gerald, then married William Charles Hoaten. It seems as if Alexander moved to S.Rhodesia. William Hoaten became a major in the British Police in S. Rhodesia.
