Youth charity, The Prince's Trust has challenged young professionals in Swindon to join a new fundraising initiative.

Every week the trust has to raise £1m. To help with this target the charity has created the ultimate fundraising challenge for the local business community. Swindon based companies are being asked to nominate staff to enrol on an exciting scheme called the Enterprise Project. Participants will be asked to organise local fundraising activities with the funds raised going towards supporting disadvantaged young people.

Starting in May, each 12-strong group will have the challenge of raising £20,000 for the trust from a starting capital of £3,000. The group will be given the support of a dedicated volunteer mentor and a total of 35 hours, over a period of up to eight months in which to complete this fun challenge. The group can be as creative as they like, with fundraising activities ranging from a sponsored abseil, to a dinner dance or fun run.

One Enterprise Project has already run in Bristol with a group of young dynamic managers joining together to raise the £20,000 by organising a golf tournament, a quiz night and a Snow Ball.
