DALE Kupsans reached yet another milestone by breaking the one minute barrier for 100m freestyle at Llanelli Open Meet last weekend.
Sixteen-year-old Dale is a senior swimmer at Amman Valley Swimming Club who started swimming for the club when he was 10 years old.
He qualified for the county elite squad last year. Dale is currently studying for his GCSEs, including PE, at Ysgol Gyfun Gwyr and regularly represents the school in rugby, cross-country and athletics. Dale's commitment to training, dedication and passion for swimming is to be commended - he trains for 14 hours a week at Amman Valley, Carmarthen, Llanelli and Wales national swimming pools.
Standards were high at the Llanelli Open Meet, however Dale's efforts were rewarded with a remarkable time of 58.51 seconds.
Dale won a silver and four bronze medals at Llanelli with Amman Valley club swimmers setting 43 personal bests in total over the weekend.
