Ferryhill U15s travelled to Billingham Town on Sunday and were keen to continue their push for the division title. After losing the toss, Ferryhill found themselves kicking into a very strong headwind which was creating problems for creating any decent chances. Billingham were\to take the lead when a shot at goal was carried by the wind to beat the Ferryhill keeper. They went further ahead when again the wind caught the ball from a goal kick and Billingham lobbed the stranded keeper. Ferryhill did not give up and continued battling. Joe Ramage was unlucky when he hit the post and a few more chances went just wide. Ferryhill pulled one back when Michael Toas drove a low shot into the bottom corner, but They were dissapointed to concede a third just before half time.

The second half saw a completely different football match with Ferryhill kicking with the wind. Hunter in the Ferryhill goal was largely redundant as Ferryhill dominated possession and it was not long before Michael Pattison reduced the deficit with a well struck volley. Stephen Ward registered the equalizer after some good battling at the edge of the area, and he was also to score the eventual winner ten minutes from full time. A good performance by all given the poor weather conditions.
