Once again we are reporting public unease about the future of our local hospitals.
We all know that the 'temporary' closure of the minor injuries unit at Wallingford Community Hospital could become permanent.
It then becomes one more reason to close even more facilities.
The Primary Care Trust has promised a public meeting in the town before it opens any consultation on proposals for community hospitals in the area.
That is how it should be.
The real problem, however, is that the gap between what the public of southern Oxfordshire want from their hospitals and what the PCT is planning is likely to be very wide.
