At their March meeting members met at The Culinary Cottage, a residential cookery school opened by Penny Lewis in her home in Pandy. Following a talk and easy tips for entertaining, members sampled parmesan and brandy snap biscuits.
The evening was much enjoyed and anyone interested in becoming one of Penny's students should ring her on 01873 890125. Afterwards members went on to Barbara Beardsmore's home for their business meeting.
Richard Jordan's talk on growing up in wartime London which had to be cancelled because of the snow in February is now going to be held at Cwmyoy Hall on Wednesday, May 2.
The next meeting at Cwmyoy Hall is at 7.30pm, on Wednesday, April 4, when Linda Garratt will give a demonstration of flower arranging.
Anyone who has seen her floral displays at Abergavenny Flower Arrangement Society festivals will not want to miss this meeting!
