LAND used as a dumping ground in Orford is creating a danger for children, said a resident.
Stephanie Jones, from Sharp Street, said the land at the back of the house has become a stinking wasteground that is attracting rats, "I have not been able to take my bin out of my back gate because people use it as a dumping ground," said Stephanie, aged 23, a chamber- maid, who rents her house.
"I rang the Environment Agency but they said they can't do anything because they don't know who owns the land.
"I cannot open my windows at the back of my house because of the smell. It is a danger to children and someone will get badly hurt soon."
Warrington Borough Council can't clean it up as the land is privately owned. They are pressing the landowner to deal with the issue.
