I READ with yet more amusement the article about City of York Council, the stickers they are to impose in closed bus shelters for smokers, and how they hope smokers will refrain from smoking in open ones.

As one of the thousands of people who smoke and who enjoy smoking, how far is this going to go? Most people who smoke do not inflict their habit on those who don't. I do not smoke in houses where people do not smoke, smoke when people are eating or light up at will.

Stopping people smoking in eating places, pubs etcetera will stop a lot of people spending their money if they are penalised. I will be one of these people.
