Over-60s Club: Vice-chairman, Vic Lawrenson welcomed everyone to the meeting on March 21 and gave a special welcome to Mrs May Seman, a regular member of the club for 35 years. May has been absent since October due to bad pain in her hip and an operation.

Vic gave details of the coffee morning held on March 17 and thanked everyone for their hard work, especially those people who went along to support the group on the day and helped to make it a successful morning.

Members were looking forward to an afternoon with Eileen Thorpe and her music but were very disappointed as she was indisposed at the last moment, Eileen is a good friend of the club, and wish her a speedy recovery.

Mrs Mary Brant (91 years), a member of the club, saved the afternoon by volunteering to tell members of her life as a child with her family in the Lincolnshire countryside. Mary told lots of amusing stories and kept members interested for the whole afternoon.
