The Alpha course, the best known course on the Christian faith in the world, is looking for more inquiring minds to attend courses in the borough, despite Kingston already having the most active churches in London.
David Williams, proprietor of re:fresh books in Surbiton, who organises advertising for the local Alpha courses, said: "Kingston does have stronger and more active churches than any other borough but real committed Christians are still in the minority. The Alpha course is a non-threatening way for curious people to discover more about the faith."
The course runs for 10 weeks and is being held at seven churches in the borough, including St George's in Tolworth, St Matthew's in Surbiton and St Paul's in Hook.
Each session starts with a meal, then features a talk and discussion forum. It is free to attend. For more information visit refreshbooks.co.uk.
