IPSWICH TOWN 0-1 WOLVES In a season peppered with false dawns, this was yet another unwanted reality check for Ipswich Town.
Peaks and troughs seem the norm this campaign and that has been put into sharp focus within the last four days.
Town may have lost their FA Cup duel at Watford on Saturday but their performance will live long in the memory.
They were quite brilliant and gave absolutely everything.
Their display was billed as a catalyst for future success but, sadly, that optimism and momentum proved short-lived.
This wasn't necessarily a bad performance by Town. Far from it.
There were undoubted positives and, as has been the case in several recent games, they were very unlucky to be behind at half-time.
However, it's quite obvious what their problem is at the moment - and it was worryingly apparent again last night.
Town just cannot score goals.
It's as simple as that and, until they find a remedy, it's hard to see where their next points are going to come from.
