Green thinkers can debate their ideas during the Think in Kingston festival this month. This year's event has a distinctly environmental flavour, with three talks from high-profile speakers forming part of the programme.
Penney Poyzer, who delighted guests at the Green Guardian Awards grand final last year, will talk about how we can make our homes more eco-friendly without compromising our quality of life.
Her speech at 6.30pm on Wednesday, March 21, takes place at Kingston University - in the new centre of excellence for cross-disciplinary sustainability, C-SCAIPE.
Author and journalist Leo Hickman is at Surbiton Library Hall on Monday, March 26, at 7pm to talk about ethical consumerism. The evening will tackle the complex issues surrounding carbon offsetting, trade justice and the industrialisation of developing countries.
Finally, a variety of experts, including broadcaster and environmental campaigner, Chris Baines, will be talking about how we can improve local habitats and eco-systems.
The panel will also be answering questions from the audience on any aspect of biodiversity. This event takes place at Kingston University at 6.30pm on Thursday, March 29.
All events are free, but booking is advised. Go to kingston.gov.uk for more information and to book.
