It might be a case of before the Lord Mayor's show at Throstle Nest tomorrow - but the Fars-ley players had better beware that the visit of Alfreton Town is just as crucial as next week's FA Cup clash with MK Dons.

That is the message manager Lee Sinnott will be instilling into his squad.

He will also be drumming into them that this is their last chance to book a place in the side for the game that everyone is talking about.

"This game in the league is every bit as important as next week's FA Cup tie," said Celts boss Sinnott.

"We have to focus on what is in front of us. We have had a good cup run so far but the league is our main priority and we make no bones about putting that on record."

"The players are playing for selection in the next game as always. On this occasion that next game is MK Dons.

"I'm also looking for a positive response to the last league game, which was a disappointing defeat up at Workington." Celtic slumped to a 3-0 defeat on a day to forget, the match coming on the back of two draining FA Cup ties against Witton Albion.

"Prior to that defeat, we had gone ten matches unbeaten in all formats," added Sinnott.

"The Conference North looks a tight division this season, two positive results can shoot you up the table but two losses can see you plummet.

"That is why we can't afford to get beaten tomorrow.

"There is also the fact that teams have played more league games than us because of our cup run and we don't want to be falling too far behind in points because games in hand mean nothing."

James Knowles is serving a one-match ban for accumulating five bookings.

Skipper Carl Serrant, Martin Pemberton and Roy Stamer are all still struggling with niggling injuries.
