Richard Sadler, pictured, the new professional at Killiow, continued his domination of the Cornwall Alliance by winning the individual event at his former club Mullion.
He had to fight all the way to card 29 stableford points as 62 players braved horrendous weather of heavy rain and gale force winds.
He just edged home a point clear of Russell Binney (St Austell) and home assistant Craig Billing with Nick Rogers (Falmouth) fourth on 26.
Newquay amateur Mal Pocklington helped Sadler to take the betterball prize as they returned 36 points three better than Rogers and Wayne Brown (Falmouth).
There was only one two on the day by by Brian Hodge (Looe) Home player Tony Pitts won the professional award at St Austell in the Alliance meeting at St Austell with 35 points. Russell Binney, the club's assistant, finished second on 34.
Andy Welch (Whitsand Bay) and Steve Bonham (Falmouth) followed on 33. Welsh, playing with amateur Robert Jones, returned a superb score of 46 points to win the better ball.
