LICKEY Monarchs beat the team they shared last season's Division One title in the Bromsgrove and Redditch Table Tennis League by seeing off Barnt Green A 6-4.
Eric Hardman was the Monarch's man of the match aftee winning three matches, while Roy Norton (2) and Ken Walton bagging the other wins.
Sasha Grokotov won two singles matches for Barnt Green and the doubles with Russell Duncan.
Droitwich Tigers lost 6-4 to Astwood Bank, despite wins for Jason Adams (3) and Alex Harvey.
Leaders Droitwich Hawks overcame West Midlands Phones A 7-3 thanks to wins for Mark Fiddian (3), Nick Whittam (2) and Steve Baker (2).
West Midlands B got the better of Bentley A 9-1.
In Divison Two Lickey Rocs drew 5-5 with Studley Road Nomads, Droitwich Villains beat Bentley Terriers 6-4, Droitwich Eagles saw off Bentley Arrows B 6-4, while Droitwich Dragons lost 10-0 to SPSP.
