AS she comes to the end of her Mayoral year, Clr Linda Dirir has delivered a rousing speech of support for the honourary role.
She told the Town Hall this week that the mayoralty was about celebrating success and said she had been to dozens of events throughout the mayoral year.
She added: "The Mayor is the public face of democracy in the town.
"We have a duty to take out the democratic role of Mayor to the children and we think this is a worthwhile thing"
