A CREATIVE group of Netherton students may see their good work displayed to give Netherton an artistic identity.
Youngsters were urged to design a sign spelling out the town name and making reference to town heritage.
The art will go on display on a new grass bank in Halesowen Road.
All of the winners and runners up came from Hillcrest School.
Winner Adam Cash, aged 12, designed a Hollywood' style sign featuring a titanic anchor and town name spelled in bricks to honour the borough brick industry.
He will now see his design become reality in a piece by borough artist Steve Field.
Residents will be consulted on the final design although planning permission and funding still need to be sought.
Runner-up was Christian Kemp, aged 11, who commemorated breweries with a giant beer mug fountain.
Lara Collins, aged 12, was also a runner-up after designing a floral tribute to the town's name.
