Disabled people in Enfield are being invited to make their voices heard as part of a nationwide debate.
Later this month, Enfield council will hold a forum where anybody with a disability or long-term illness which prevents them from carrying out day-to-day tasks can put their point of view across and share their experiences.
The drive is part of a nationwide initiative to promote equality for the disabled. Enfield Council will also be exploring how itl can help alter out-dated attitudes.
If you are affected by a disability and want to make your voice heard, book a place at the Nothing About You Without You event, which will take place at Park Avenue Resource Centre, Bush Hill Park, on October 16.
Call Phil Webb on 8379 4757, or Martin Garner, 8379 3113 to make a reservation. Alternatively, email philip.webb@enfield.gov.uk.
