LOVERS of wine and history can combine the two at an event being held at one of Bexley's most historic houses.
Bexley Heritage Trust is hosting a wine-tasting event at Danson House, Danson Park, Welling, from 7.30pm on March 27.
The tasting, led by wine expert Greville Havenhand, will include wines inspired by the life and times of Sir John Boyd, who built the Palladian mansion in the 18th Century.
It will also allow guests to look at the highlights of the 18th-century Grand Tour and explore trading links to the Indies.
Tickets are £25 and have to be booked in advance. The price includes a buffet and a chance to explore the mansion.
