MARK Collier has urged his Supermarine side to take their play-off charge "one game at a time" while reminding his doubters their fate is still in their own hands'.

Yesterday's goalless draw at promotion rivals Paulton Rovers leaves Marine in fourth spot in the Southern League Division One West, now just one point within the play-off zone, but Collier insists it is all down to them.

Maximum points from the remaining three games would secure a spot in the play-offs, for the second successive season, and Collier insists there is no point in worrying about other results.

He said: "It is down to what we do. We have the luxury with three games left to say if we win them all, we will be in the play-offs.

"Why worry about how other teams are getting on? As long as we do our job we will achieve our aim and get in the play-offs.

"It is all very nervy at the moment, and there are some strange results going on, but we have to stay strong, stay together and keep enjoying our football."

After a disappointing reverse at home to Lymington on Saturday, Collier's men raised their game for their trip to third-placed Paulton.

With 10 minutes remaining, the home side's Dan Cleverley was dismissed for his second yellow card and Marine striker Luke Gullick was inches away from stealing the points, his 89th minute effort striking a post.

Collier, pictured right, said: "It was a decent game and a decent advert for the Southern League. Both teams tried to play and with the pressure there is at the moment, I thought it was an enjoyable game.

"We could have stolen it at the end and I am disappointed we didn't, because I think we did enough to win the game.

"The lads have reacted well to their below-par performance on Saturday and now we have to look to our next game.

"I told them it was job done and now lets all focus on the job in hand. I think they can be happy with how they have played."

Marine entertain Chesham on Saturday before an away game at Bracknell and their final game of the campaign at home to Brook House.
