Four held over bus attack
FOUR youths have been arrested in connection with the assault on a serviceman on a bus travelling to Carterton from Witney.
At about 1.30am on Saturday, February 9. and during the course of the journey, Senior Aircraftsman Pete Forrest, 24, was assaulted by a group of five to six teenagers.
At about 2am, he got off the bus where he was then attacked by two youths in Brize Norton Road, at the junction of Alverscot Road and Burford Road, outside the old Aviator pub.
He suffered a broken leg in the assault and was treated at the John Radcliffe Hopsital, Oxford.
The youths - aged 17, 17, 16, and 15 - were arrested yesterday on suspicion on GBH.
All four have been given police bail to re-attend Witney police station on March 25.
