Romance Blossomed Amongst The Black And Deckers As The B &q Sperstore In Ponders End Held A Valentine's Singles Night.>

Single DIY fans look to improve their love lives

ROMANCE blossomed amongst the Black and Deckers as the B &Q sperstore in Ponders End held a Valentine's singles night.

The DIY workshop was designed to help single people gain confidence handling tools around the house.

But it was also the perfect opportunity to search for a genuine builder's mate.

And for some lucky participants it could mean they will never have to do it themselves again.

At the warehouse in Ponders End High Street telesales manager Paul Nolan, 27, told the gathered singletons how he found love amongst the four-by-twos.

He said: "I needed to put some shelves up in my house so I went to my local DIY store. The only thing I needed was some screws, so I headed for that section.

I noticed a rather attractive girl looking around the same department, so I nervously started talking to her.

"The chemistry was unbelievable, and I eventually came out of the store with my screws and her phone number -- I just couln't believe my luck."
