Support fete of hospital

A SUMMER fete is being held to raise money for Dartford's Livingstone Hospital.

Organised by the League of Friends of Livingstone Hospital and Community Health Unit, there will be stalls, side shows, raffles, tombola, bric-a-brac and refreshments.

The main raffle prize will be a mini CD player, with all proceeds from the afternoon going toward the hospital, in East Hill.

Thomas Gowland, chairman of the charity based in Longfield, said: “The hospital has served the local community for more than a hundred years.

“With Darent Valley Hospital having less beds than Joyce Green Hospital, which it replaced, the Livingstone will be at full capacity, so please come along and give support.”

The fete is on September 1st, from 1.30pm to 3.30pm in the hospital grounds.
